A vase-like form, pleated by design

Tomoshi's shade rises in fine vertical pleats that twist gently around the lamp as they climb. Switched off, it sits on a table like a sculptural vessel; switched on, the light gathers in every fold, so the whole surface glows in soft bands rather than from a single bright point.

Printed, not moulded

The shade is 3D-printed in PLA, built up layer by layer — which is what makes such fine, regular pleating possible. Its thin walls let the bulb's light pass through evenly, giving a diffused glow that is easy on the eyes in the evening.

Plugged in, nothing to charge

Tomoshi runs from the mains on a 1.6m cable with a UK plug, so there is no battery to run down. It takes a standard bulb — E14 in the Small, E27 in the Large — and an LED bulb comes in the box. Because the bulb is replaceable, the colour of the light is yours to choose: warmer for winding down, cooler for reading.

Two sizes, two settings

Small stands 21cm tall and 12cm across — sized for a bedside table, a bookshelf or a dressing table. Large stands 29cm tall and 16cm across, with enough presence for a sideboard, console or desk.
