Hotaru Cabinet Light

Inside a wardrobe, under a kitchen shelf, in a dark corridor — these are the spaces that no ceiling light reaches and no table lamp can follow. Hotaru lives in these gaps. At 9 mm thin and 200 mm long, it slips into a cabinet door or beneath a shelf edge and waits there quietly until movement wakes it. No switch to find in the dark, no cable trailing to the nearest socket.

The built-in motion sensor reads the approach of a hand or body and activates the LED in response — automatically, without thought. When movement stops, the light waits and then fades. This is not a convenience feature so much as a small recalibration of how a space works: light arrives when it is needed and retreats when it is not, leaving the room as quiet as it was before.

The 800 mAh lithium battery charges in three hours via the included USB cable and provides five or more hours of continuous use — longer in motion-sensor mode, where the light is active only intermittently. A full charge is enough for days of typical cabinet or wardrobe use without needing to think about it again.

A single button cycles through three colour temperatures: a soft 3000K warmth for a bedroom wardrobe at night, a balanced 4000K neutral for a kitchen shelf, a crisp 6000K white for a utility or storage space where clarity matters. The same object, placed differently, adapts to the quality of light each room calls for.
