Fuwari Pendant Light

Most pendant lights draw the eye downward — a concentrated point of light pulling attention toward the floor. Fuwari does the opposite. Available in 40 cm, 50 cm and 60 cm diameters, with heights of 20 cm, 25 cm and 35 cm, it spreads horizontally beneath the ceiling and occupies the room through width rather than visual heaviness. The effect is closer to a cloud hovering in place than to a lamp hanging as a compact object from a cord.

The Cacoon fibre that forms Fuwari's shade is the same material used in the LUNORI table lamp collection — chosen for its ability to transmit light evenly through its entire surface without creating bright spots or shadow. When the E27 bulb is on, the shade glows as a whole: a soft, continuous luminosity that distributes warmth across the room in every direction rather than concentrating it in a single beam downward.

Suspended above a dining table or seating area, Fuwari changes not just the light in a room but the feeling of its upper half. The pale, organic form catches the eye without demanding it — present in the peripheral vision, contributing to the room's sense of softness without becoming its focus. Switched off, it reads as a considered sculptural object. Switched on, it makes the ceiling itself feel lower and more intimate.

The 1.5 m cable adjusts during installation to suit different ceiling heights, and the fitting accepts compatible E27 bulbs up to 40W. With a dimmable bulb and a suitable dimmer switch, Fuwari moves easily from brighter functional light to a softer evening glow. The included bulb allows use from the first day, while replacements remain simple and widely available.
