Awai Pendant Light

Awai does not fill a room with brightness — it settles into it. The DuPont paper shade, only 15 cm deep, spreads wide in a soft, cloud-like form that diffuses light evenly across its surface. There are no hotspots, no visible source, no harsh edge where the light ends. Only a wide, gentle glow that makes the room feel calmer rather than brighter.

DuPont paper transmits light in a way that ordinary fabric or plastic cannot — evenly, softly, without shadow or interruption. In Awai, the result is a shade that reads as luminous rather than lit: the whole surface glows, and the room beneath it receives that warmth as a single, continuous wash rather than a pool from a central point.

At 40 or 50 cm, Awai works as a considered accent above a reading chair, a bedside table or a small dining corner. The 60 cm shade sits well above a compact dining table. At 80 cm, it anchors a living or dining space without dominating it. At 100 cm, it becomes the room's quiet centrepiece — wide enough to hold the attention of the entire ceiling plane while remaining, in its lightness and pallor, almost weightless. All five sizes share the same 15 cm depth and the same soft, irregular silhouette.

Awai is available in fixed Warm White and Cool White versions, as well as a dimmable remote-control version for spaces that need more flexibility. The 1.5 m cable adjusts during installation to suit different ceiling heights, and the 10 cm canopy sits quietly above without drawing the eye. Awai is designed to disappear into the room — and to let the light it gives be the only thing worth noticing.
